so. i stumbled onto the local rumor forum from home (www.thehawkroad.com) and began to read. i was bored. i still am bored. and i'm still reading it. the things that people that live such sheltered lives say is absolutely.. appauling. well. i know they probably don't know any better, they're back woods hicks (i'm not saying everyone from my area is a hick... just the majority of them). a couple quotes from the first random topic i clicked on. must've known it was going to be full of stupid responses. it had the word "religion" in the topic.

under a thread about introducing christian prayer into the high school:
"i think if they dont let u talk bout religions then u cant have none of this gay stuff that they let in there."

keep in mind the "gay stuff" is a small committee that holds meetings on the students' own time in a locked classroom versus the prayer being forced on the entire student population.

not eating much at all does have its benefits (though it's probably wreaking havoc on my metabolism); i woke up this morning and noticed my stomach area seemed less.. fat, i guess. there was a dip between my hip bones.
negative side of this? i've lost all my energy. i'm only awake because i had a cappuchino. i have an eating disorder, it's called not having a job. haha.

juice eh! in the mall called me today. i have an interview with them tomorrow at 5:15 and another interview at wendy's on friday at 4. i honestly don't care where i work. i just want to work. juice eh! would be nice, it's just across the road.

so. exams. i've done two already. bombed one, aced the other. i've only got one more today.. and then my last one's on the 19th, but i'm not worrying about that one right now. it's astronomy. easy..ish. english exam. i have to write an essay. bah. i can't just sit and write an essay. i have to cut my nails. i've been stabbing myself when i write. it's extremely uncomfortable.

3 more days of school. hurray! i decided that i'm not gonna change any of my exams. i know none of them are gonna be too hard, and i might as well get them all over and done with. people are all "ouch, 3 exams in one day" yeah, well. yunno. that's life. i'm sure it'll happen again too.

i feel good today. i have another job interview at the scotia square mall today after school, hopefully it goes well. the first place hasn't called me back, and they told me they would by the beginning of last weekend. so. yeah. if job number two doesn't come through i've still been sending resumes here and there. i'm bound to be picked up by someone.

i really crave an apple. just.. getting into the kitchen to get one.. so far.. 10 feet away.. arg. appleeee.

oh hay so i wrote my english essay last minute. it took 3 hours. it's 1055 words. and it's actually pretty good. i'm proud of that. now to do my other paper. it's gonna take a lot more work, but at least it's not due for another week, unlike its previous due date of wednesday.
so that sketchbook i bought a while ago has one drawing in it. i'm so damn lazy, and uninspired, and anything i've done lately has been for someone else so it can't go in there. i do like my bleach drawing, though i wish i wouldn't have colored it.

this weekend.. wasn't really what i wanted it to be. but it ended well today. sooo i'm content.

I've been talking to mom, and she's considering helping me move up a day or two early. :) she told me at one point that I should just go back with Jenn and Franklin, so I can get my keys and whatnot, but I don't really wanna bother them with that. if they didn't care, I would though. :P

I had lots of fun with Jenn today. she came over in the morning and we left to go to Yarmouth, it wasn't snowing that bad when we left.. barely at all.. then we almost got to Argyle and it was pretty bad, so I turned around. I didn't wanna get stuck in that mess...
we ended up going to JB's to eat dinner, it was really good. Then we went to Wilson's, bought some stuff for pets, then to the pet store.. I got a betta for Holly, it's really pretty.
I'm going to get a betta after I settle down. I got pink rocks and a pretty white plant for my tank. I might go buy the other white plant too. they were only $1.50.
After all that, Franklin took Jenn home. I went home and played with fishie.. then back to barrington/cape island to take Sammi home.

work tomorrow. It's my last week though, so yay! I'm not looking foreward to thursday and friday.. 2 nights in a row again. ew. oh well.

mom went nuts today and decided to wash all of my clothes. it's taken about 4 or 5 loads and it still isn't done. I've been putting clothes away all day!

it feels earlier than 4. I wonder if anyone will actually show up today. I know Julie might not, but that's understandable, she's got horse stuff to do. Jenn and Frank.. I hope they do at least. I invited Tim and Matt, if they come they won't stay very long. I kinda just wanna watch christmas movies with someone. people.

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil (AP) - For most, it's the men's room or the women's. A Brazilian city is trying to give an option to those who don't fit easily into either category.

A bill passed by the Nova Iguacu city council on Tuesday would require night clubs, shopping malls, movie theatres and large restaurants to provide a third type of bathroom, for transvestites. Mayor Lindberg Farias will decide whether to make it a law.
"A lot of lawmakers didn't want to deal with this issue, but it's a serious problem in society," said Councilman Carlos Eduardo Moreira. "It's a way to put an end to prejudice."

Moreira, 32, a policeman on leave from the force, said he got the idea when dozens of transvestites showed up for a local samba show.

"It was a real problem. The women didn't feel comfortable having them in the ladies room, and the men didn't want them in their bathroom either," said Moreira, a married father of two. "I'm not doing this for my own benefit."

He said the "alternative bathrooms" could also be used by men or women who didn't mind sharing space with transvestites.

Moreira said there are nearly 28,000 transvestites in Nova Iguacu, a poor city of about 800,000 on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro.

He said many transvestites are reluctant to go out because there's no bathroom for them. And he denied that the cost of building a third bathroom would be a big problem for restaurant or club owners.

"It requires an initial investment, but after that, the establishment will end up making more money because it will have a larger public. And transvestites like to spend," he said.

The issue has divided gay groups; some feared it could segregate gays, while others said it recognized a problem within the gay community.

"At first we were against the law, but after some discussion we decided we had to support it because it addresses a real problem for a segment of the gay community," said Eugenio Ibiapino dos Santos, a founder of the Pink Triangle Association, a gay group in Nova Iguacu. "We see it as a way to open a discussion about civil rights."

Brazil is generally more tolerant of homosexuality than other Latin American countries, but discrimination still exists.
