Count up the movies you've seen. If you've seen over 70 you're officially a movie buff.
( woah movies! ) Grand total: 101
i never thought of myself as a "movie buff". i haven't seen the most obvious movies that everyone else has. haha.

Go to Wikipedia. Type in your birth date (but not year). List three events that happened on your birthday. List two important birthdays and one interesting death. Post this in your journal.
1795 - The United States and Spain sign the Treaty of Madrid, which establishes the boundaries between Spanish colonies and the U.S. 1961 - NASA launched the first Saturn I rocket in Mission Saturn-Apollo 1. 1997 - Stock markets around the world crash because of fears of a global economic meltdown. The Dow Jones Industrial Average plummets 554.26 points to 7,161.15. For the first time, the New York Stock Exchange activated their "circuit breakers" twice during the day eventually making the controversial move of closing the Exchange early.
1858 - Theodore Roosevelt, 26th President of the United States, recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize (d. 1919) 1940 - John Gotti, American gangster (d. 2002) (I also share a birthday with John Cleese, Scott Weiland (STP) and Kelly Osbourne. oh dear..)
2003 - Rod Roddy, American television announcer (b. 1937)

so. i stumbled onto the local rumor forum from home (www.thehawkroad.com) and began to read. i was bored. i still am bored. and i'm still reading it. the things that people that live such sheltered lives say is absolutely.. appauling. well. i know they probably don't know any better, they're back woods hicks (i'm not saying everyone from my area is a hick... just the majority of them). a couple quotes from the first random topic i clicked on. must've known it was going to be full of stupid responses. it had the word "religion" in the topic.
under a thread about introducing christian prayer into the high school: "i think if they dont let u talk bout religions then u cant have none of this gay stuff that they let in there."
keep in mind the "gay stuff" is a small committee that holds meetings on the students' own time in a locked classroom versus the prayer being forced on the entire student population.
under the same topic. "Prayer in school? Most definitly!!!!!!!Ever since prayer and the Bible have been taken out of our schools, ethically and morally our society has been deteriorating rapidly. Some fail to realize that this nation and province was founded on Christian principles. It is no coinciidence that the most prosperous nations on the planet over the long haul have all been built on these same principals.U.S..CANADA,UK,AUSTRALIA,SOUTH AFRICA and Israel, where the Christian faith came out of.Unfortunately for some, they don't take the time to read or study out the Bible. If they did they would discover that when God has said something it comes to pass. The Bible proclaims that the nation that turns its back on God will bring cursing upon itself......Decisions regarding things like this topic and in other moral issues such as homosexuality, play a major part in the future of this nation....Yes we live in a "free country"under"democracy".But democracy is unBiblical. And I am now beginning to see why....Due to our desire for "democracy",we have allowed many other cultures to come in here and allow their ways to take over what our forefathers had intended and dreamed for our nation.Because of these things I say "YES"to putting prayer back in school. But if its not your will to have your child participate in that, then that should be honoured.Thats why God gave us a will and not be robots.JMO!!!!!!"
long yes. i just thought it was a funny read. hard.. but funny. no way in hell i'm fixing those grammatical errors.
yeah anyway. i can't read anymore. it shames me that i came from this place.

not eating much at all does have its benefits (though it's probably wreaking havoc on my metabolism); i woke up this morning and noticed my stomach area seemed less.. fat, i guess. there was a dip between my hip bones. negative side of this? i've lost all my energy. i'm only awake because i had a cappuchino. i have an eating disorder, it's called not having a job. haha.
juice eh! in the mall called me today. i have an interview with them tomorrow at 5:15 and another interview at wendy's on friday at 4. i honestly don't care where i work. i just want to work. juice eh! would be nice, it's just across the road.
so. exams. i've done two already. bombed one, aced the other. i've only got one more today.. and then my last one's on the 19th, but i'm not worrying about that one right now. it's astronomy. easy..ish. english exam. i have to write an essay. bah. i can't just sit and write an essay. i have to cut my nails. i've been stabbing myself when i write. it's extremely uncomfortable.
fuck it's gonna snow?

3 more days of school. hurray! i decided that i'm not gonna change any of my exams. i know none of them are gonna be too hard, and i might as well get them all over and done with. people are all "ouch, 3 exams in one day" yeah, well. yunno. that's life. i'm sure it'll happen again too.
i feel good today. i have another job interview at the scotia square mall today after school, hopefully it goes well. the first place hasn't called me back, and they told me they would by the beginning of last weekend. so. yeah. if job number two doesn't come through i've still been sending resumes here and there. i'm bound to be picked up by someone.
i've gotten boring on here, huh? :D

not only did i get rent money, my mommy bought me a $30 astronomy book, easter chocolate, a few groceries, and even my birth control for the month. my grandmother bought me a $25 phone card. hehe. happy. though i did miss mythology.. i could maybe make it to english.. but mehhh. oprah's on and it's more interesting than taking a 20 minute bus ride to listen to barger rant, as funny as he is, about people in limos. i'm going to show my new book to pitcairn tomorrow. eehee.
also, my mommy's gonna go to the star party with me in august. oh, i'm such a nerd. :D

i really crave an apple. just.. getting into the kitchen to get one.. so far.. 10 feet away.. arg. appleeee.
oh hay so i wrote my english essay last minute. it took 3 hours. it's 1055 words. and it's actually pretty good. i'm proud of that. now to do my other paper. it's gonna take a lot more work, but at least it's not due for another week, unlike its previous due date of wednesday. so that sketchbook i bought a while ago has one drawing in it. i'm so damn lazy, and uninspired, and anything i've done lately has been for someone else so it can't go in there. i do like my bleach drawing, though i wish i wouldn't have colored it.
this weekend.. wasn't really what i wanted it to be. but it ended well today. sooo i'm content.
